CANCELLED - Club Race, Tuesday 16 March 2010.
Please note the proposed club race that was to be held on Tuesday afternoon 16 March has been cancelled due to the water quality in the lake. Those that have entered online have had their entry fee refunded.
RUN HANDICAP – Due to the above triathlon being cancelled, the final timed run for this season’s run handicap will be 9 March 2010 with the handicap run presentation 16 March 2010 (both at Tench Reserve as per normal arrangements).
CLUB RACE - MAY 9 - Please note that the race committee has decided to allow all online entrants that entered the wet twilight race on Friday evening 5 February to receive a free entry in the club race on Sunday May 9.
Please note that only those that entered online for the 5 February race will receive the free entry and those competitors will not need to re-enter the May 9 race as the on-line entries will be carried forward. The club executive decided to give the free entry to thank those members that enter the races on-line, thus greatly assisting the registration process on race days. The May 9 race will either by a triathlon or duathlon depending on water temperature.
FRIDAY MORNING SWIMS - Friday Morning swimming at the Regatta Centre were CANCELLED but the algae bloom has subsided. So check with Rob George on 0421 203 676 about future swims.
PANTHERS TRI CLUB AGM – will be held at 8pm on Tuesday 3 August at the Nepean Rowing Club – Come along to assist in the running of the club and we are always looking for some new faces to help out.
JUNIOR ASSISTANCE – applications from our promising juniors that are achieving results that are leading towards representative honours are invited, stating results to date, expectations in the sport and also including any details of the assistance that the member and/or their family have provided to the club on race days or in other ways etc., will be considered for assistance in the 2010/11 season. Applications close on 30 May 2010 and are to be addressed to the Secretary, Panthers Triathlon Club. The club executive will assess each application.

Coach facilities: DVD/video, PA system, air conditioned, fitted with seat belts for safety and rest room equipped.

- Travel on the coach to the Ironman is available to club members and family/friends although all will need to complete the on-line booking.

UPDATE on our junior scholarship program
Matt Baker won All Schools under 16's on Thursday and Mitch Baker came 5th in the under 14's The bottom line is they are both of to National.
NZ IRONMAN results
Wendy Walker had an outstanding day in her Ironman debut, which saw her cross the finish line in 10:38:52, which put her in 21st place overall in women and 7th in age category. Swim was 1:00:03, bike 5:30:30 and run 4:02:27. I am sure she will be very happy with the result. Another Panther on his Ironman debut, Jamie Gill completed his home Ironman (his mum and dad live 500metres from the finish line) finished in 15:06:19.

Please put this one in the diary - there will be an interclub open race staged on Easter Monday 5 April 2010 at the Regatta Centre. More details as they come on hand.

Please note that the NSW Club Championships at Port Stevens are on Saturday 1 May 201 - if you are going to race this one, don’t forget to enter asap.
Panthers assisting our Juniors
Both Matt Baker and Sam Appleton have written back to the club thanking the club for assisting them in their pursuits to move to the top level of our sport. Race reports for both will soon be available to place on the club website.

Club races can now be entered online and is proving popular with most members. As a result these races are filling quickly meaning we have had to turn people away who try and enter on the day.
